![]() I also know this cool local guy who does lots of Virtual Pinball artwork who may be able to help you with cab decals. I also used a standard body cab which was the norm back in the day and would fit a 39" or 40" screen but the TV and screen manufacturers have since moved on and no longer make 4k screens in those size in Australia so I'm stuck with 1080p. Unfortunately I don't have the spare time to keep updating it these days due to the time it takes to download new tables, set them up, record the videos for the menu and all that. moving from 1080p to 4k, adding feedback, upgrading graphics card, etc. The biggest issue I've found over the years is that the software and technology keeps getting better and so it is a never ending upgrade cycle to support newer tables. It will give you a good feel for what a vpin is if you haven't had a good play on one in real life. It is only running 1080p and doesn't have all the latest tables on it - I last updated to vpx 1.6 many months ago - but does have some really great looking and playing games even if not in 4k. I have a vpin I built quite a few years ago. If you are in SA and want to come and have a look at a home made Virtual Pin then feel free to get in touch. So basically I'm unsure if I should go with either businesses products, I'll also be getting a 2 or 4 player arcade machine too, so it's a massive investment and want to get it right the first time! (Talking like 15k total for both probably) I believe Retro Play allows you to update, add new tables etc. Has anyone dealt with these guys before? Or know of any other sellers that are on par or better than the top models that these two sell? I've come across reviews of both businesses that make me hesitant to go with either tbh (Like no support after the fact, being abused if something is damaged / doesn't work / software issues / not receiving the product / etc.)Īs far as I can tell, Xtreme Cabinets don't allow any updates on the software side after initial purchase because they put a password on the main SSD, so that seems like a big no no for me. ![]() Tables, Williams Tables, Bally Tables, etc.Hey guys, so I'm looking at getting a virtual pinball machine, I was looking at either Retro Play or Xtreme Gaming Cabinets.
