I don't know what is causing the issue for me not to be able to download it straight from Google, but at least I have Chrome back now, and hopefully so will you. Double click to open, log into your account and all should be normal again. Once booted up, you should now be able to see Google Chrome on both your desktop and in your pinned area on your task bar. Once you have installed Google Chrome, close out of all windows and reboot your computer normally. You should now see Google Chrome installing. In the list of results, swipe down on or right-click Command Prompt, and then tap or click Run as administrator. Right click on the downloaded file and click on "Open as Administrator." If the issue persists, I would have you run the DISM tool to check the system health and will try to restore the files. Once you are in Safe Mode, navigate to where your file was downloaded to. Things, I tried without success: 1 tried to view in different browsers (IE, Firefox, Chrome), same message. I don't think it matters, you can either arrow down to Safe Mode or Safe Mode with Networking. This is usually done by pressing f8 when your computer / laptop is booting up, but you may have to search online on how to enter your computer's Safe Mode. When I was trying to re-install Chrome, I got an error code of 0x80004002.Äownload a Full Standalone Offline Installer from here: I was trying to uninstall and re-install Google Chrome because my version was so far out of date I was told to do this. I don't know why this worked, but it did for me.
